Dotchke Issue 9

These 1  bit drawings were created on a Handspring Visor (orange palm pilot) in 2001 when I lived in NYC. Often they were things I saw walking around or on the subway. Sometimes they were notes of ideas I had. They also came about by opening my drawing app, making a scribble and then trying to turn that into something. Doodle improv.

By definition of the process, the drawing quality varies widely from one to the next, but as a continuum, they start to create a language of symbols and feelings that starts to feel like myself.
